POINT PLEASANT — The City of Point Pleasant’s annual Halloween Block Party, 6-8 p.m., Main Street. Point City Councilman Dylan Handley, who has been helping to organize this year’s event, recently announced via social media there will be: Nearly 50 booths/vendors; a DJ and stage; bounce houses; free hotdogs, chips, drinks; Boardman’s Furniture will sponsor a cakewalk; students from Point Pleasant Live will provide a backdrop to take photos of children in costumes; and there is rumored to be a mobile haunted house sponsored by the PPJ/SHS Black Knight Marching Band. Main Street will reportedly be closed to thru traffic from Third Street to Sixth Street, starting at 4:30 p.m., the day of the block party. The stage will be set up at Fourth Street, booths will be set up on either side of the street in the parking spaces next to the sidewalks. All vendors and participants should bring tables and whatever other items needed to set up. This event grows each year and is open to all. Free admission.
