PPHS Class of 1966 inspired to give back

POINT PLEASANT — Visitors to Tu-Endie-Wei State Park may have noticed a new addition, thanks to the Point Pleasant High School Class of 1966.

The class purchased this bench, pictured below, and donated it to the park, which recently hosted Battle Days and is a busy attraction in downtown Point Pleasant.

According to Judy Hensley, the PPHS grads had money left over from previous class reunions and wanted to make some kind of donation to benefit the community.

Pictured with the bench, from left, are classmates Becky Epling, Toni Holstein, Paula Chapman and Judy Hensley.

Four classmates sit on a gray bench with the words "Point Pleasant High School Class of 1966" at the park where the bench was donated.
