POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Point Pleasant Moose Lodge #731 is on track to possibly break last year’s fundraising record with its charity bingo events that support local, community organizations.
The Moose Lodge’s most recent charity bingo raised money for Square One, which offers support to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and homelessness. The event raised $1,606 for the group which provides assistance to those in need in Gallia, Jackson and Meigs counties in Ohio.

Ashley Harris spoke briefly during the event about their organization and what they do for the community, with a press release from the Moose Lodge stating: “Square One serves Gallia County, Jackson County, and Meigs County to help victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and homelessness as well as providing emergency shelter to women and children.”
Also, according to the press release: “Year to date, Point Pleasant Moose Lodge #731 has raised $39,727 for various community organizations in our local communities. With four months to go this year and six more charity bingos scheduled for the year the Moose Lodge looks to surpass last years $40,853 fundraising record year.”
Fundraising events are planned for Sept. 9 and Sept. 12, with the latter being the lodge’s next charity bingo event which will benefit Tu-Endie-Wei Garden Club. The club is responsible for beautification projects in Point Pleasant, including the Yard of the Month recognitions for each ward in the city.
“Please join us and help us break all our previous, yearly records…,” further stated the press release.
