Meet McGruff, the shelter pet of the week

This week’s Mason County Animal Shelter Pet of the Week is McGruff.

When not fighting crime, McGruff is actually a very sweet pup and loves to give hugs. Shelter staff say he gets along well with other dogs with similar, quiet attitudes. He is a mixed breed, weighing 62 pounds and is approximately two-three years old. Are you McGruff’s forever family?

The Mason County Animal Shelter is open noon – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. Check out recent posts of kittens, cats and dogs available for adoption via the shelter’s Facebook page, just search for “Mason County WV Animal Shelter.”

Unable to take in a pet but would like to help? The shelter is always looking for volunteers and appreciates donations of food, treats and toys to assist animals in need.
